One Time Volunteer Opportunity that will Make a Lasting Difference!
We are looking for adult volunteers to help out on March 31st at the 13th Annual Mayor’s Youth Summit! Each Spring Brockton holds an Annual Mayor’s Youth Summit. This event is FREE to the young people of Brockton and attracts over 300 teens from across the City. The summit is an opportunity for youth to engage in discussions with their peers on issues most important to them in the City. Together, they work to create solutions to the issues they’ve expressed, and are provided a forum to voice these concerns and solutions to the Mayor and other City officials.
The 17 young people on the Youth Summit Planning Committee understand that volunteers are crucial to the success of this free event. Please consider this volunteer opportunity and join us in celebrating the future of Brockton youth and the future of this event!
We have morning and afternoon shifts available! Volunteer from 9:30am-1pm, 1pm-5pm, or all day. The event will feature a carnival, youth-facilitated breakout sessions and other fun activities. Adults are needed to assist with registration, ushering, set-up, breakdown, lunch service, t-shirt giveaways, photo projects and more! As a volunteer, you will help the Mayor’s office provide leadership, empowerment, and opportunity to the hundreds of youth in Brockton who are looking to make a difference!
To register, fill out this online form, or download this form and mail it to the Office of the Mayor-Youth Summit, 45 School Street, Brockton, MA 02301. You may also fax the form to 508-559-7960. Please know that we will also request that you fill out a CORI form and submit a photocopy of a picture ID in order to volunteer. Thank you for your cooperation!
