Summer Block Parties a Success in Brockton

With the mission to unite local neighbors and encourage relationships with local caring adults, Brockton’s Promise gave Brockton neighborhoods the opportunity to host Block Parties this summer. Kids enjoyed during basketball, sidewalk chalk, tricycling, and archery while parents mingled over delicious potlucks and barbecues, all provided by the Brockton’s Promise Caring Adults team.

“Having this block party was a great way to connect with those who live around us… people we have never seen before! Now, when I take a walk up the street, I can stop and have a conversation with a new friend.”

The goal of Brockton’s Promise is to foster relationships between community members and to create trust and familiarity among neighborhood families. Block Parties will be held through October, 2009. if interested in creating friendships with locals in your are, please call or email:
